After church and lunch we decided to go to a park before heading back to Birmingham. So Cole looked up some parks near Gloria's apartment and found 2 that looked pretty cool. He asked me which one and I went with one that looked like fun for Graham. Oh boy, it was a good discovery because it sits on a pretty large lake with nice mountains around and the playground looked brand new! Graham had another wonderful time and Gloria/Cole are going to revisit this nice park a lot!

Weekend in Atlanta to see Ge-Ya, Uncle Cole, Granpa and Gran-ma Rebecca. First stop, Zoo Atlanta! The weather was yet perfect again this day so we wanted to do something outdoors. The tickets were not cheap ($22 a person X 3 is over $60!!) So we got online to see if there's any coupon discount. Kept seeing coupon for $3 or $5 off but none of the links were good to print them... so Max and Gloria gave up and I decided to keep looking. It's a good thing that I did because not only did I find something, I found it to be FREE for all of us! How? Let me tell ya! I found a mom who posts blogs and she mentioned that the local libraries have the zoo video and you can rent them and get a free family pass..However, it's so popular, it's rarely available to check out because everyone wants to go to the zoo for free. I thought to myself, can this be real? So I called the library and sure enough, they knew exactly what I was talking about. The first one we called was checked out and she was really nice to let me know what other ones may have it. There was only one option left and so we called just hoping they would have it.... and the rest is history! They had it, held it for us and we went to the zoo for FREE!! I still can't believe it!Graham overall had a great time and Zoo Atlanta kicked Birmingham's zoo butt! They had a lot more animals and even a petting zoo! I was kind of worried about the petting zoo because Graham is scared of a lot of things lately...and I was right. He didn't want to touch anything! It took me petting a goat for him to even touch him for one second. Oh well, I guess there's always next year. He loved the elephants, baby giraffe, gorillas and tigers. By the time we got home, we were all pooped but it was a nice day to remember for sure!

I bought these blocks when Graham was just a few months old. He showed little interest in them back. A few weeks ago, he started playing with them and has been having fun with them ever since. He likes to stack them as high as he can and knock them over with his feet. He asks for help sometimes to make them stack even higher! We didn't know this but he can count to 10 in English and Spanish! So he will count them as he stacks them (in both languages). I guess I will have to teach him to count in Chinese too!!
